Hey, I’m Ben Wagrez — a cloud architect who’s passionate about designing unique solutions and architectures that solve real-world problems.

I’ve spent years working in the cybersecurity space, building secure, scalable systems that hold up under pressure. That hands-on experience continues to shape the way I approach modern cloud environments — always with a sharp eye on risk, resilience, and performance.

Lately, I’ve been diving into the world of FinOps — looking at how cloud infrastructure ties into cost optimization, financial visibility, and long-term sustainability. I’m especially interested in bridging the gap between engineering and finance to help businesses make smarter, more informed decisions.

My journey into tech started when I built a website for my highschool hosted on AWS. This fed into my studies at Purdue, where I studied Network Engineering and explored Kubernetes security in depth, eventually publishing research along the way. These days, I’m still just as curious — always looking for smarter ways to build.
